My Toshiba Tv Lamp Burned Out

iron A. Gomez, film critic for La Opinión de Málaga

is a film critic in his answers succinct, very clear and direct. In fact, participants in the interview, chat held on April 23 of Victor A. Gómez, among which I include myself, are especially impressed by the sincerity of their arguments. The cyber event has revealed the most controversial aspects of the Festival of Malaga and the English cinema in general. Without doubt, the highlight has been the phrase "do not try to English cinema as if it were a genre in itself."

Question. - Do you really considered very positive this year politicians?
Response. "The politicians and managers have been difficult this year due to significant budget cuts. But, yes, it is true that austerity has noted (in number of activities in the presence of "stars'...), environment has been a 'povera' important. But this year it has established the high level of occupancy of rooms, especially in Latin American Territory, ZonaZine and Documentaries. Are 'younger brothers' asking for a timetable of its own.

P. - Do you dare to make a club of the awards?
R. "Tomorrow in the newspaper will have more detail. But I think the big awards are three films, 'Plans tomorrow ',' Rage ',' Bon appetit 'and' Heroes'. If you want to wet me I think the great Biznaga go for 'Heroes'.

P. - Why English cinema has a high component of preventing bed scenes deal with other projects?
R. "Well, 'Fourth Floor' has a sex scene, one in which boys masturbate ... Interestingly this year there has been little rise in tone so many scenes in the movies of the Official (the de Julio Medem has balanced the scales, I suppose, but are locked scenes arguably well justified.) My personal opinion about the sex scenes: when it comes to history, portray characters and add something, well, when pure exhibitionism, pulling me back.

P. - In three adjectives, how was this year's festival?
R. -Grey, accurate, hard working.

P. - Do you like English cinema?
R. "I'm not looking at passports, really. Also, what is the English film? Luis Buñuel's English cinema, also Antonio del Real and Alvaro Saenz de Heredia. Do not try to English cinema as if it were a genre in itself.

P. "Of all the editions of the festival with 'critical', what he left a better impression?
R. "On the issue of the Festival I left a better impression was that in which they won 'The other side of the bed' (which I liked) and 'Smoking room': it seemed like there was more variety, more interest, more risk ... Also I was younger and impressionable.

P. - What is the movie that you like most, that you think should win and you think will win?
R. "The ones I really liked were two: 'Bon Appetit', because in terms of what it promises and what it offers, is the most complete, 'Rabia', because it is the film all exhibited more and better values strictly film together. What should win? 'Bon Appetit', I guess. What I think will win? 'Heroes'. Really liked that movie, is well resolved, but, sorry, I find a spot for children to their thirties.

P. - Is it true that critics are frustrated filmmakers?
R. "In my case, no, of course. I can not speak for anyone else. That phrase, I guess the first time delivered by a director to see a bad review of his film, has already become a cliché, a bit obnoxious, really. I do believe is that managers should be a little more critical of themselves.

P. - Have you ever met the obligation to speak well of the film from a friend or friend of a friend?
R. "Yes, it happened. I guess they asked if I was condescending in that case, knowing what's not mentioned were acquaintances or friends to carry out their projects ... No, people who know me know that the best you can get from me is a direct opinion, sometimes hard (I admit).

P. - What is your favorite movie of all time?
R. "I can not just one, let me three: 'Wild Bunch' by Sam Peckinpah," Broadway Melody of 1955 'by Minelli, and' The Green Ray 'by Eric Rohmer.

P. "Usually they are award-winning films that are valued by a very small audience. When does a critical realist and bringing us closer to the public to the truth of the movies?
R. "I see from Iranian films to 'Not Another Teen Movie', and both enjoy them. I do not feel particularly brainy but demanding. Perhaps the public should be more and cinema in our country would be much better. I'm tired of leaving the cinema and hear comments like "The movie is bad, but I laughed."

P. - What do you think the level of players coming out of 'Physics and Chemistry' or the generation of 'The Wright Stuff'?
R. I do not see much these series. In reality, things are not much better in the rest of the world. The times of the legendary actors of star presence, overwhelming, over, and now we just have guys who could be your neighbor and would-be cover of FHM. But, do not think there is always reason for hope: Pilar Lopez de Ayala was in 'The Wright Stuff. "

P. - What do you deserve the awards Zine Zone?
R. "Good for 'Fake Orgasm', which actually should have been selected for the Official (would have been the most interesting and risky). Not so good for the awards to 'Suspicious Minds' (and the award to the late writer ...).
